Having a face tattoo is always a big statement. Some tattoo artists even refuse to do face tattoos. You need to have a really strong personality to have a face tattoo and be happy with it. A tattoo artist will normally assess each client requesting a face tattoo to make sure that they are aware of the consequences and have had other tattoos and can put up with the fact that people will stare.
“Mad Dog Deon”, 27, is a tattoo addict and he’s recently shocked his whole family by getting a skull tattooed on his face. This is a very bold move and the art work even landed him a spot on the Jeremy Kyle Show. His girlfriend, Catherine, 31, asked him to come on the show to explain why he “destroyed” (her own words) his face.
She told TV host Jeremy Kyle: “Last week, he said, ‘I’m going out to have a skull tattooed on my face’.” She added: “I thought he was joking. Off he went and came back with it covering his face.”
Deon, of Walsall, West Midlands, got his first tattoo when he was 17 and really likes getting more ink. He has a rebellious personality and the tattoos let him express who he really is. The face tattoo is obviously a way to express is strong personality. He’s even planning to have more tattoos done on his neck. But should someone talk to him about the consequences on his family?
Most people will fail to understand why he would have something so bold done on his face. It’s a real tattoo and will be there forever, unlike a temporary tattoo which can wash off.
Mad Dog Deon is unemployed and he will find it even harder to get a job with the new face tattoo. It is likely to put off many women and many potential employers. If he wanted to have tattoo removal on such a large face tattoo, it would be quite expensive and quite painful.
