A man was pleading in court last week to have the word “Skinhead” removed from his forehead. However, the judge has made it very clear that he will have to pay for his own tattoo removal. The man has been in trouble with the law for many years and knows that he cannot move on and find a job unless he has the “skinhead” tattoo in Gothic script on his face removed. He used to be proud of his tattoo but now wears a cap to hide it.
Carl Nathaniel Drewett got the tattoo years ago when he was in prison. Now, the 28 year old wants to move on. He has been charged with drink-driving causing injury and assault. At the time of sentencing, Judge Jane Farish told him: “I don’t think the state will fund your tattoo removal.” He will have to find private sponsors to fund the tattoo removal.
